Blue Christmas: Hope & Healing During the Holidays
Many people feel a sense of joy and celebration when the Christmas season arrives. However, for others, this time of year can be filled with grief, loss, and struggle. At First Baptist Moncton, we understand that Christmas isn’t always easy — which is why we will have a Blue Christmas service on December 17 at 6:30 pm in our GYM, as part of our NEVER ALONE series of Advent and Christmas services.
A Moment of Hope for Those Who Need It Most
The Blue Christmas service is a heartfelt gathering designed to offer comfort, hope, and companionship to those navigating difficult seasons of life. Whether you've lost a loved one, are facing health challenges, or are feeling lonely during the holidays, this service provides a safe space to reflect, mourn, and find reassurance in God’s promises.
What to Expect
This evening will feature profound reflections on hope, faith, and God’s presence amid suffering. Our choir will lead beautiful music, including soft piano melodies and singing that uplift the soul. Past attendees have shared that this service offers a sense of peace and community — a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles.
Why Blue Christmas Matters
During the pandemic, many found the Blue Christmas service to be a source of profound comfort. One attendee shared:
"In the midst of loss and uncertainty, this service reminded me that hope is alive. It was a night of reflection and healing that I needed more than ever."
The service recognizes the reality of pain and loss while pointing to the hope found in Christ — the Light shining in darkness.
