Grounded in the Faith| Message 2: A Vision-Shaped Journey
This Sunday, Pastor Richard Jackson continued our series Grounded in the Faith: A Journey Through Paul’s Letter to the Romans with a powerful message titled “A Vision-Shaped Journey.”
Rooted in Epistle to the Romans 12:1–2, this message called us to move beyond passive belief and into a life that is fully shaped by God’s mercy and purpose.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
A Vision That Shapes Who We Are
At the heart of the message is our church’s vision:
Becoming a Revelation Church where people from all ethnicities, all generations, and all economic realities are challenged to be radically transformed by God.
This is not just a statement—it is a calling.
A calling to become a people shaped not by culture, preference, or opinion, but by the truth of the Gospel.
1. Revelation, Not Opinion
The journey begins with revelation.
Paul introduces himself in Romans as one “set apart for the Gospel of God.” His message was not built on personal ideas or cultural trends—it was grounded in divine truth.
In the same way, we are called to build our lives on God’s revelation, not human opinion.
2. One Gospel for All Ethnicities
Romans reminds us:
“There is no difference… for all have sinned… and all are justified freely by His grace.”
The Gospel is not limited by culture, background, or nationality. It is for everyone.
A Revelation Church reflects this truth by embracing diversity and unity in Christ.
3. One Gospel for All Generations
“The righteous will live by faith.”
Faith is not bound to age. The same Gospel that transforms one generation continues to transform the next.
We are called to be a church where every generation walks together in faith, learning, growing, and following Christ.
4. One Gospel for All Economic Realities
“Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded.”
The Gospel levels the ground.
No one stands above another. Whether in abundance or need, we all come to God the same way—by grace.
5. The Call to Be Radically Transformed
The central challenge of this message is clear:
Do not conform. Be transformed.
Transformation is not superficial—it begins in the mind and reshapes how we think, live, and respond to the world.
It is an ongoing process of becoming more like Christ.
6. Becoming What We Behold
Paul declares:
“I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God…”
We become what we focus on.
When our lives are centered on the Gospel, transformation follows. When we behold Christ, we begin to reflect Him.
