Tanzania Mission Trip 2027

At First Baptist Moncton, we are excited to begin preparing for a mission trip to Tanzania in February 2027, and we would love for you to discover what this incredible opportunity is all about.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, following the services, we will host a special Mission Trip Information Session in the Parlour for anyone interested in learning more about the trip, the ministry, and the people we hope to serve alongside in Mwanza, Tanzania.
This will be much more than a travel presentation. It will be an opportunity to hear stories of faith, learn about a vibrant culture, and explore how God is moving through communities across East Africa.
What You’ll Discover
During the session, Laura Kelly—who has lived in Tanzania for seven years serving on a health project with Emmanuel International Canada—will guide us through an overview of life, faith, and ministry in Tanzania.
You’ll learn about:
The culture and daily life of Tanzania
The importance of relationships and community
The role of faith and local churches
The beauty of places like Mount Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and Lake Victoria
Opportunities to serve and support local ministries
We will also hear a short testimony from Ron and Janice, sharing their personal experience and heart for missions.
About the Ministry
Laura will introduce the work of Emmanuel International, a Christian organization partnering with churches worldwide in relief and development initiatives that serve communities socially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
One of the ministries we’ll learn about is the “Strength & Dignity” project, which provides health education and support for young people in Sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2019, thousands of students have already been impacted through this initiative.
We’ll also hear about Petra City Church, a growing and resilient church community in Mwanza that continues to share hope and joy in the midst of challenges and change.

💲 Estimated Cost: Approx. $4,250 CAD

Flights
Vaccines and anti-malarial medication
