Grounded in the Faith | Message 6: Unbelievable

What if the most important truth about your life wasn’t based on how you feel… but on what God has already declared?

In this powerful message from Romans 5, Pastor Richard reminds us of something that can feel almost unbelievable:
If you are in Christ, your status before God is already settled.

Peace with God—Not Just a Feeling

Paul writes, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This is not the same as the peace of God we feel in certain moments.
This is peace with God—a permanent reality.

Through Jesus, the separation caused by sin is gone. You are no longer an enemy of God. You stand before Him not because of your goodness, but because of Christ’s righteousness.

And here’s the key:
This is not a feeling. It’s a status.

It doesn’t change with your emotions, your failures, or your circumstances.

Stop Living Like You’re Still Condemned

Pastor Richard illustrated this truth with the story of a man wrongly imprisoned for decades, only to be declared innocent and set free. Imagine if, after hearing the verdict, he walked back into his cell and closed the door.

It sounds unthinkable… yet many of us do the same spiritually.

We live burdened by guilt, shame, and defeat—as if Christ never set us free.

But the truth is clear:
If you are in Christ, the verdict is final—you are not guilty.

So why stay in the prison?

You Have Access to God—Right Now

Because of Jesus, we don’t need an intermediary to approach God.
We are invited into His presence—freely, directly, and confidently.

This is the beauty of grace:
We don’t visit it occasionally…
We stand in it.

Your relationship with God isn’t built on fluctuating emotions. It is anchored in what Christ has already done.

A Hope That Is Certain

Paul also tells us that we “boast in the hope of the glory of God.”

But biblical hope isn’t wishful thinking.

It’s not “maybe.”
It’s certainty.

It’s the confident expectation that one day, we will fully experience the glory of God—restored, renewed, and forever with Him.

Living What We Believe

This message challenges us to align our lives with what we say we believe:

  • Stop living like you’re condemned

  • Stop relying on your feelings

  • Start living in the freedom Christ has already given you

Because the truth is not just good news…
It’s unbelievable.
