Joanne Steen

Youth Coordinator

Joanne brings decades of faithful service and a deep love for young people in the church community.

A lifelong member of First Baptist Moncton, Joanne has been part of the church family since she was a baby and has been a member for over 60 years. Throughout that time, she has dedicated herself to supporting children and youth ministries, serving for more than 40 years in programs such as Sunday School, the Pioneer program, and various youth initiatives that have helped generations grow in faith.

Joanne has also contributed to the life and leadership of the church in many ways. She is a former Council Member and has served on the Search Committee, the Christian Education Committee, and the New Life Mission Board, offering her time, wisdom, and commitment to the church’s mission.

Before stepping into semi-retirement, Joanne ran her own accounting business for 25 years. Her organizational skills, dedication, and caring spirit continue to enrich her ministry work with young people.

Joanne has been married for 50 years and is the proud mother of two children and grandmother to two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, puzzles, painting, and especially spending time with youth, who never fail to make her laugh.
