JANET PERRY
FirstKids Ministry Director
Janet carries a lifelong passion for nurturing and guiding children in their faith. She has spent her entire career working with children and youth in a variety of roles, beginning as a teenager serving in camp ministries and later earning her diploma in Early Childhood Education.
After starting her career as an Early Childhood Educator in her hometown of North Bay, Ontario, Janet moved west to pursue an Associate of Arts in Music at Briercrest College and Seminary, and later settled in Moncton, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Crandall University. While completing her studies, she served for several years with the youth ministry at First Baptist, where she also met her husband, Wes Perry. Together, they now have two sons, Judah and Silas, who are active in the church’s children’s programs.
Throughout her career, Janet has led childcare centers as a Director and more recently served as an Educational Assistant with the Anglophone East School District. Though she found great fulfillment in the childcare world, Janet felt God leading her toward ministry—a call she joyfully embraced.
Today, she is excited to combine her experience, creativity, and faith in her leadership of FirstKids Ministry, helping children grow in their love for God and their understanding of His Word within a fun, caring, and Christ-centered environment.
