Make Hunger Matter: CBM Sunday, November 6, 2016

Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) has invited Canadian Baptist churches across the country to do one powerful, generous and compassionate act – MAKE HUNGER MATTER – by helping to provide food and other assistance in times of crisis and emergency. During emergency situations such as conflict, drought and other disasters, food assistance helps save lives. Providing food to people who are suffering through the tragic loss of homes, loved ones and livelihoods helps to increase their chances of survival.

Here are a few ways CBM has provided food assistance during recent crises:

  • PHILIPPINES TYPHOON HAIYAN - Food supplies for approximately 150 families
  • SOUTH SUDAN CONFLICT - Provision of corn flour, beans, cooking utensils, jerry cans, fishing nets, hooks, mosquito nets and other supplies for 1,450 families
  • UKRAINE CONFLICT - 1,200 families and 300 young children received complimentary food packages
  • CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC CONFLICT - Distribution of food baskets to 120 households

We are Making Hunger Matter on Sunday November 6, 2016. Please see the envelopes in the pews for your donation (place in the offering plate).

Cheques are to be made payable to CBM. Please include your name and address for CBM receipt purposes.

Please note that First Baptist Moncton cannot provide receipts for this campaign.
