Men's Breakfast get-together at Cora's - October 25 start at 7:45 am
The October Men's Breakfast get-together will be at Cora's, 500 Mapleton Road on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Come between 7:45 and 8:00 am at the latest to place your breakfast order. Rupert will be talking about his early years with the container shipping industry and his related marine experience - will be interesting! Come on out and take advantage of the "good food and good fellowship".
Special meeting to vote on new members - October 25 at 6:15 pm
Special meeting, Wednesday, October 25th at 6:15pm. The purpose of this meeting is to vote on new members, at least 20 members are required for this vote. Plan to attend this meeting, and hear the faith stories of those seeking membership.

Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer November 6 at 7:00 pm
Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer, will be held on Monday, November 6th at 7:00pm at Sunny Brae Baptist Church. Special Speaker will be Laura Lee Bustin.
Grief–Share (Partnership Ministry Between First and St. George’s)
The first series of these support sessions for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one, will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church beginning on Nov 15th and running for 10 weeks on the following dates: Nov 15-Dec 13, and Jan 10-Feb 7, all at 7:00 p.m. (We plan to offer the second series at First Baptist in the Spring of 2018). Brochures with more information about the first series are available in the Queen St. entrance.
Each session focuses on an aspect of grief through a video presentation. Following that, there is an opportunity for discussion, but no one is forced to share thoughts and feelings. Partici-pation in the discussion is voluntary. You are also welcome to bring a friend. When you arrive at St. George’s Anglican Church at the corner of Church and Queen the evening of Nov. 15th, please use the basement door (51 Church Street) or ring the buzzer if you would like to use the elevator on Queen Street. There is a registration cost of $10, (payable to First Baptist ) to help with the cost of materials. Simply put your registration fee in an envelope, write your name and “Grief-Share” on the envelope, and drop it in the offering plate during one of our worship services. If you plan to attend, please let Pastor Sandy,(firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-1113) know by Sunday, November 8th. This will help us with our preparation.
