The Trail for Children
THE TRAIL ministries teach children specific concepts with specific outcomes for each age group, which are built upon at each age level. Whether the ministry is focused on learning, activities or music, the principles remain the same. The Sunday morning TRAIL ministries are located on the third floor of the Christian Education Building. Walk through the redwood tree stump in the Vestry and follow the signs around the corner and up the stairs to THE TRAIL learning spaces on either side of the upstairs corridor.
Sunday Morning Ministries
On Sunday morning your children will find friendly caring adults as they participate in age appropriate activities. Our aim is that through interactive groups children will learn to apply Biblical truths and come to know God as Creator, Redeemer, Saviour and Friend.
“Welcome” (Nursery) - Back of Sanctuary, near the Queen St. entrance.
Infants & Toddlers to Age 3 (10:30 am service)
The babies and toddlers are taught that Jesus loves me, God made me, church is a happy place to be, and church is a family for my family. A pager system is in use to alert parents when needed in the nursery.
“Wonder” (Pre-school) - First room on the left of the corridor #307
Pre-School Children – Ages 3&4 (10:30 am)
The children learn that God made everything, Jesus is my Best Friend, I can talk with Jesus anywhere, any time, about anything, and the Bible is God's special Book.
“Discover” (Early Elementary) - Second room on the right of the corridor #311
“Young Children and Worship” for Children ages 4-Grade Five (10:30 am)
This reverent but tactile presentation of Bible Stories, helps children imagine their own responses to what's happening in the story and worship God with all their senses. It's awesome! The children are taught I can trust God, obedience is best, giving is God's way, and treat others the way I would like to be treated. Although for children ages 4 to Grade 5, pre-teens in Grades 4 and 5 may want to begin to stay in the corporate worship service.
“Launch” (Pre-teens) - Second room on the left of the corridor #304
Pre-teens to Grades 4-5 (10:30 am)
Pre-teens will have the opportunity to understand adolescence, choose to follow Jesus, begin their own "Ignite" quiet time, and learn to serve others.
Wednesday Night Community Supper (5:30 pm – 6:00 pm)
Enjoy a meal with the Church family, cost $6 per adult, children under 18 no cost. Sign up by calling the church office by Monday (leave a message!).
