THE TRAIL for Adults
First Baptist Moncton is an inter-generational church that seeks to minister to persons of all ages. Through THE TRAIL spiritual goals and outcomes for adults, ministries will help individuals grow in God through faith, love and respect. Some of the things we do to encourage growth, learning, and fellowship are:
Adult Bible Class
This is a large group of persons that meet from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Sundays in the Chapel. The class is led by Rev. Dr. Rick Thomas and is a study of God’s Word.
Adult Small Group Ministries
There are several groups that meet at different dates and locations, studying different topics with various facilitators. Some of these groups are open to new members, and there are new groups starting from time to time. Speak to a member of the pastoral staff for details on joining a small group.
The group meets regularly for fellowship and fun. It seems food is often part of the event and sometimes a speaker or musical entertainment. Watch for announcements of their next event as everyone is welcome.
Adult Ball Hockey
Part of our growth and health as people comes from caring for our physical bodies. Ball hockey is a great way to get exercise and have fun on Tuesday evenings starting at 8:00 pm.
Men’s Wings Night
Every second month, the men of the church go offsite to a restaurant and enjoy food, laughter, and fellowship.
There are several music based groups that welcome new members, including the Sanctuary Choir, bell choirs, and the Bridge Worship Team. Components of worship, fellowship and learning together make these group fun as they contribute to worship at First.
There are several events that are geared for adults and families each year. Some of these events include Superbowl Party, a gathering to watch the Superbowl game on a big screen, New Year’s Eve event, Fall Kickoff Picnic, and the Christmas Decorating Party. Whatever the event, food often seems to be included and great fellowship!
